Giant Squid

Dosidicus gigas

This giant squid is large and white. It has high content of proteins and essential amino acids and a low percentage of fat. Normally it measures between 50 to 80 cm in length, reaching 4 m in total maximum length. At present it is one of the resources most captured by fishermen in Chile.
