Abalone is a popular mollusk, especially for Asians and considered a true delicacy. Chile is currently the fifth largest abalone producer in the world, with more than 900 tons sold abroad annually. The Coquimbo region has everything so that production continues to grow, and Chile continues surprising as the unthinkable competitor in the abalone market.

The size range oscillates between 4-6, 6-8, 8-10, 10-12, 12-15, 15-20, 21-30 units/ kilo
